Fallbrook's community cemetery isn't a public district — it's the Fallbrook Masonic Cemetery on Santa Margarita Drive, entrusted to the local Masonic lodge by founder Horatio Smelser in 1918 and open to everyone ever since. It serves families from across northern San Diego County, holds Memorial Day services dating to 1922, and is one of only two Green Burial Council–certified hybrid cemeteries in Southern California.
The cemetery no longer sells headstones itself — its own FAQ directs families to outside vendors. That's where we come in: a marker designed by you, cut to one of the cemetery's three published sizes, with the office coordination handled.

Fallbrook publishes exactly three allowed headstone sizes: 16″ × 28″, 12″ × 24″, and 9″ × 18″. Our standard 16″ × 28″ polished granite marker is the largest format the cemetery accepts — and if your plot calls for one of the smaller sizes, we cut to it at the same all-inclusive price.

Is Fallbrook's cemetery only for Masons?
No — it's been open to the public since 1917–1918. No Masonic membership is required, pricing is the same for residents and non-residents, and it serves families from Fallbrook, Bonsall, Temecula, and across northern San Diego County.
Can I buy a headstone from the Fallbrook cemetery directly?

Are upright monuments allowed in Fallbrook?

Does Fallbrook allow green burial markers?
The cemetery is a certified hybrid green burial ground, and its green section has its own rules — decorations there must be natural and biodegradable. Marker requirements for that section aren't published; we confirm them with the office before designing anything.
